The server specifications will depend on the expected number of concurrent users. XTM should be installed on bare metal servers with the minimum specifications shown below.

Storage requirements depend on the number of active and archived projects, source file types, size of source files, and size of TM. Servers must have SSD drives and XFS file system for active projects and the database. Archived projects can either be stored on magnetic drives or, for an additional cost, sent to Amazon S3 storage.

Partition layout:

XTM data1 TB or moreXFSSSD
Backup1 TB or moreXFSHDD

At least RAID 1 data protection is required.

Software runtime environment:

  • Java 1.8.60 or later
  • Applications o Libre/Open Office v4.0 or later
  • Database: PostgreSQL 9.6 or later
  • Apache Tomcat 8 or later

Network Requirements :

  • The server network should include a firewall.
  • XTM International offers a content delivery network to improve global access and load balancing for large installations.
  • Within the server cluster, including the database server, a minimum 1 gbit local network is required.

Server bandwidth: Greater than 10Mbit/s depending on the number of concurrent users. User bandwidth: 2Mbit/s or better.
